W Aspen Names Christopher Jaycock as General Manager

W Aspen has announced the appointment of Christopher Jaycock as its general manager. Before joining the team at W Aspen, Jaycock held numerous operational leadership positions at other luxury hotels.

Throughout a 15-year career spanning across North America, Jaycock has assembled and mentored teams in the execution of day-to-day operations within luxury hotels, identifying opportunities to enhance guest experiences. He has also supervised several multimillion-dollar renovations, overseen fine-dining operations and managed luxury hotels, proving his track-record for successful management encompassing a cross-section of hospitality and F&B operations.

Besides his leadership in hospitality and F&B, Jaycock was the founder of High Proof Logistics, a last-mile logistics company formed during the pandemic to support increasing levels of e-commerce sales; and Custom Philly Properties, a real-estate investment company that identifies distressed assets and leverages capital to build long-term equity in those assets.

As director of operations at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia, Jaycock was responsible for the effective management of the property and also for a $20 million guestroom renovation.

Before arriving in Aspen, Jaycock was instrumental in the integration and implementation of new lodging and F&B operations, developing a talent pipeline and an additional three-meal-period restaurant during his time as multi-unit general manager at the DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge and River Mountain Lodge in Breckenridge, Colorado.

His vision, dedication and ability to inspire confidence in employees, senior management and guests make his transition to W Aspen a logical and exciting move. Jaycock’s entrepreneurial and innovative spirit backed by 15 years of experience has landed him a legacy he will continue to uphold and evolve at W Aspen.

W Aspen opened in 2019 and is the brand’s second Mountain Escape, after W Verbier in Switzerland. The hotel is located at the base of Aspen Mountain and offers guests ski-in/ski-out access.
