Silversands Grenada has announced that of Jorge Collazo has been appointed to the role of director of sales and marketing for the resort, which will open in Spring 2018.
A native of Puerto Rico, and hotel business veteran, Callazo began his career wuith Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. After some time with company, he moved onto the independent luxury hotel sector. He has held Sales and Marketing leadership roles at several top-tier luxury properties around the world, including The Setai – South Beach, Gansevoort Turks and Caicos, and launched the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in Puerto Rico as part of the opening team. There he oversaw the hotel’s annual business and marketing plans, coordinated sales and activities throughout the resort, and develop marketing and sales campaigns.
Callazo said he is looking forward to the launch of the new resort.
According to the company, Silversands Granada is the first major hotel project on Grenada’s Grand Anse Beach in over 25 years. Located on a small island in the Caribbean, the property will include 44 suites, nine Hillside and Seaside villas available for purchase, a full-service spa, and two globally-inspired restaurants drawing on Grenada’s reputation as the “spice island." Guests will also be able to swim in a stunning 100-meter-long pool, the longest in the region. White sand beaches frame the resort.
