Temecula Wine Resorts Properties to Reopen on June 1, July 1

The 63-acre South Coast Winery Resort & Spa plans to reopen its resort on June 1, with modified services. Its sister property, Carter Estate Winery and Resort, located nearby on 109 acres, plans to reopen on July 1.

To provide guests with plenty of space, South Coast will reopen its 82 villas only and Carter Estate will reopen all 60 bungalow suites on its scheduled date. Both properties will utilize their outdoor terraces and gardens for dining and wine tasting. Tasting rooms will admit limited guests for food and wine experiences by advance appointment only to ensure physical distancing. Both resorts will offer varied distancing dining options, including The Vineyard Rose Restaurant at South Coast Winery Resort, the Vineyard Grill at Carter Estate Winery and Resort and in-room dining delivered to each villa or bungalow’s doorstep.

South Coast’s villas were recently refreshed with new paint, lighting, window treatments and furnishings. Available in single and two-bedroom options, amenities include step-out patios, gas fireplaces, wall-mounted flat-screen TVs and hot tubs.

To ensure the safety of guests and employees, all guests will be asked to wear face coverings in public spaces and comply with six-foot physical distancing policies. Hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout both resorts, and enhanced sanitation measures utilizing Bioesque sprayers and hospital-grade disinfectants will be used throughout the guestrooms and public areas. Villas and bungalows will be left vacant for a period of time between guest arrivals and a seal will be placed on all door locks to indicate they haven’t been accessed since they were last cleaned.

Bike rentals, meditation walks and outdoor yoga, among other activities will be available for guests. In addition, the resorts are offering a variety of reopening packages:

  • Carter Estate Winery and Resort Horseback Riding Package: The package includes overnight accommodations, 90 minutes of horseback riding for two, a welcome bottle of wine from Carter Estate Winery and continental breakfast for two.
  • South Coast Winery Resort & Spa Horse and Carriage Package: The package includes overnight accommodations in a villa, two-hour private horse drawn carriage ride, a bottle of a pre-selected South Coast wine and chef’s choice charcuterie.
